An Owl Pouch with Japanese Patterns
たまに普通のお裁縫もやります。
きちんとサイズや位置を合わせないといけないものは、実は苦手です。
ちゃんと合わせたはずなのに、最後ちょっと合わなくてモヤッとすることが多いです(笑)
それでもOKなものなら作っていて楽しいです♪
Sometimes, I do regular sewing too.
To be honest, I’m not very good at projects that require everything to be measured and lined up perfectly.
Even when I think I’ve matched everything carefully,
I often end up with things slightly off at the very end—and that always leaves me a bit frustrated (haha).
Still, if it’s something where a little imperfection is okay, I really enjoy making it ♪
このポーチは、和柄の小さなフクロウの柄が気に入って衝動買いをした布で作りました。
この丸くてキュートなフォルムのフクロウ、可愛いでしょ？
この可愛さで、色合いが控えめなところが好きです。
I made this pouch using a piece of fabric I bought on impulse because I loved the tiny owl pattern in a Japanese style.
These round, cute little owls are adorable, don’t you think?
I especially like how the colors are calm and understated, despite the cuteness.
裏面にも和柄を使いました。
麻の葉模様です。
For the back side, I used another Japanese-patterned fabric.
It features an asanoha (hemp leaf) pattern.
ファスナーの色もたくさんの種類が売られているので、何色を合わせるか考える段階も楽しいです。
色ひとつ変えると、雰囲気がガラッと変わります。
今回は、布の中に使われている色を選びました。
There are so many zipper colors available,
and choosing which one to match is part of the fun too.
Just changing the color can completely alter the feel of the piece.
This time, I picked a color that’s already used in the fabric.
表と裏を違う布にすると、この側面から見たときの布の組み合わせの表情がわくわくします。
Using different fabrics for the front and back makes the combination visible from the side,
and that little peek always feels exciting.
タグも付けてみました。
これを付けると、ちょっと市販ぽくなるんです。
持っている中からいろいろ置いてみて、合わせました。
I also added a tag.
Adding a tag instantly makes it feel a bit more like a store-bought item.
I laid out several tags I had and chose the one that felt right.
更に市販ぽく・・・！
前に、オリジナルで作った挟みタグです！
自分の名前をアレンジして「Yukinko😊」と印刷されています。
オリジナルタグというのが作れることを知ったときに、ひとりで盛り上がって作ったのでした。
何も販売する予定はありませんが…(笑)
To make it feel even more “shop-like”…
I used an original folded tag I made some time ago!
It has my name playfully arranged as “Yukinko😊” printed on it.
When I first learned that you could make custom tags,
I got overly excited and made them just for fun.
I don’t have any plans to sell anything, though (haha).
こんな感じで、ネットや本で見た小物を作ってみることがあります。
良い気分転換になりますよ～🍀
Every now and then, I try making small items like this, inspired by things I see online or in books.
It’s a really nice way to refresh my mood🍀
