The Emperor’s Parade
アンデルセン童話「はだかの王様」をモチーフに制作した、貼り絵イラストです。
パズル雑誌のお仕事として制作しました。
This is a collage illustration inspired by Andersen’s fairy tale “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” created for a puzzle magazine.
街を進むパレードの一場面。
The scene shows a lively parade moving through the town.
王様は王冠をかぶり、パンツ一枚の姿で、堂々とパレードの先頭を歩いています。
Wearing only his underwear and a crown, the king proudly walks at the front of the procession.
その後ろには、立派な衣装に身を包んだ大臣や役人たちが続きます。
Behind him follow the royal ministers and officials, all dressed in splendid costumes.
街の大人たちは王様を称えるように見守っています。
The adults in the town watch and praise the king.
けれど子どもたちは、思わずくすっと笑いながら「あれ、王様、はだかだね」と指さしています。
Children point and giggle, saying, “Hey, the king isn’t wearing any clothes!”
昔から親しんできた定番の童話をテーマに制作できた、とても楽しいお仕事でした。
特に、にぎやかな衣装のキャラクターたちは作りごたえがありました。
It was a very enjoyable project, as I have always loved classic fairy tales.
In particular, the characters with their lively costumes were very rewarding to create.
