The Fawn and Rabbit Bedtime Mascots
たまに、手芸本やキットのマスコットを作ることがあります。
普段は「このへんかな？」と感覚で切って合わせて簡単に作るので、しっかり考えられた型紙から作るのは、毎回「なるほど〜」と勉強になります。
Sometimes, I like to make mascots from craft books or kits.
I usually cut and assemble things quite freely, thinking, “This should be about right,” so working from well-designed patterns is always a great learning experience for me.
Each time, I find myself thinking, “Ah, I see!”
このコジカとウサギは、本の表紙を見た瞬間にひと目ぼれしました。
宇山あゆみさんの『想い出のマスコット』に載っている子たちです。
昭和レトロな雰囲気が可愛いですね。
I fell in love with this little fawn and rabbit the moment I saw them on the book cover.
They appear in Omoide no Mascot by Ayumi Uyama.
That Showa-retro atmosphere is just so charming.
できるだけ見本写真に近い色のフェルトを選んで作ってみました。
完成した姿を見ると、なんだか本からそのまま飛び出してきたみたいで、つい見入ってしまいます。
I tried to choose felt colors as close as possible to the sample photos.
Looking at the finished pieces, they almost feel as if they’ve jumped right out of the book,and I can’t help but stare at them for a while.
